    These beautiful handwoven Bolga Fans are made in Bolgatanga, Ghana, a historic, small town in the northern region of Ghana, West Africa.

    They are not only a extremely classy way to stay cool on hot summer days but are also a design highlight and often used as wall hangings.

    We are so proud to be working with this amazing "Baba Tree Company".Not only do they have the prettiest designes, they simply have the best quality.

    These fans sure have their price, but rather than to buy them somewhere else for a cheaper price we deliberately chose "Baba Tree" as our partner. Because we beliefe in fair and conscious trade. 

    We are happy that the wovers who actually make these baskets profit from us buying them and not an anonymous gigantic company.

    The Baba Tree Basket Co. is the supplier of quality, hand woven African baskets made by artisans. 

    They are made from all natural materials and woven in Bolga by Baba Tree's incredible artisan weavers, these unique African Baskets are available in various colours and sizes.

    Jemima Akolgo was the first to weave this type of basket in Bolgatanga - so of course The Baba Tree Company named it after her and her master skills. Since then Jemima has taught and inspired many of our weavers with her innovative approach to traditional Gurunsi folklore.

    Honouring local basket traditions and creating exciting forms with the oldest craft in the world is what we do best! 

    Place a vase inside and uses as an incredibly decorative flower display.

    AFRICAN WOVEN STORAGE/ DECOR BASKETS

    The most beautiful storage solutions you’ll ever come across - our Pakurigo Wave baskets are named after the two men who created this signature technique. Created in an interwoven effort by the enormous talents that are Palash Singh and the Baba Tree Master Weaver Mr John Akurigo, during a field trip to Ahmedabad, India in 2013. When 20 Baba Tree Weavers were invited by the Indian Government to visit and collaborate with local weavers at The National Institute of Design.
