This amazing fabric is a piece of art created by the wonderful Tai people a hill tribe in the north of Vietnam on the boarder to Laos.
This fabric is not from Germany like the other fabrics I use.

Exactly how old this special kilim fabric is can hardly be estimated, but it most likely dates from the 1970s.
Each bag is then individually cut and processed.
In this particular case, a hip bag.

- high-quality inner lining, beige cashmere/wool mix
- old brass metal zipper
- matching metal buckle/adjuster (gold)
- cotton strap 4 cm wide
- Decorated with handmade tassels and golden beads

€99.00I took this gorgeous Vietnamese vintage fabric, dyed it and up cycled it into a unique hip bag.
size: length 12,2inch, height 6,6inch depth 1,9inch

- created out of a vintage Vietnamese wall hanging
- metal vintage zipper
- inner lining with little inside pockets
- embellished with hand made tassels with vintage beads
When upcycling vintage fabrics that don’t have any composition labels and washing instructions. I can only rely on my experience and expertise to identify them. Also it is important to know that the fabrics used to create this bag are vintage materials that have existed for many years. A lot of them are also embroiled by hand and not machines so they may have slight imperfections. Telling tales of their past.
